As we told you earlier, Sen. Cory Booker is so concerned about President-elect Trump’s nominee for Attorney General — fellow Sen. Jeff Sessions — that he is taking the “unprecedented” step of actually testifying against his colleague at Sessions’ confirmation hearing today. It’s thought that this is the first time in history that one sitting senator has testified against another sitting senator.
This would be the same Sen. Jeff Sessions, however, that Booker partnered with to pass legislation to award Congressional Gold Medal to Selma Marchers. From his website:
But even worse for Sen. Booker’s narrative, here’s video of the New Jersey Democrat praising Sen. Sessions and saying how “honored” he was to work with him on making sure the Selma Marchers were honored properly:
