Disney CEO emails employees to address their pain, frustration, and sadness over Disney's response to 'Don't Say Gay' bill

It was a year ago yesterday that Disney CEO Bob Chapek offered more insight into Gina Carano’s banishment from the company, saying that Disney stands for “values that are universal.” Is that so? As Twitchy reported this week, Chapek buckled under the pressure from employees and social media and finally made a statement on Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, including that the company would oppose similar “Don’t Say Gay” legislation across the country.

Another day has passed, and Chapek is prostrating himself before Disney’s employees, many of whom reached out to share their pain, frustration, and sadness over the company’s response to the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. “It is clear that this is not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights.” Maybe if people used the actual name of the bill, they’d stop to consider the rights of parents to a K-3 learning environment for their children free of discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Here’s a tweet from Rep. Anna V. Eskamani, who’s the same person who sent out that brave and stunning TikTok video of Florida House members saying the word “gay.”

Remember how they accused DeSantis of gaming COVID vaccinations because the Publix grocery chain was a donor? That was fake news. Disney can do what it wants with its donations, but it had better realize Chapek’s statement isn’t nearly good enough for the liberals who assume Disney’s just waiting for this to blow over.
