In a very lengthy thread we wrote about earlier, Charlotte Clymer did some extensive detective work to debunk Wolf Blitzer’s photo of gas in Washington, D.C. costing $4.30 a gallon for regular. According to her research, Blitzer took that photo at the most expensive gas station in D.C. and could have easily gotten gas for $3.58 a gallon if he’d driven to a Shell station a mile and a half away. That still sounds expensive to us, but we all know how desperate Blitzer is to make President Biden look bad.
Clymer’s work was wasted, though, as Biden later in the day asked Americans if they ever thought they’d be paying this much for a gallon of gas, noting that it costs $4.50 a gallon in some parts of California.
