Here’s an excerpt from The Guardian:
Robin Gibb’s “spectacular” recovery from colon cancer has been disrupted by a new intestinal problem. Gibb is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery on Sunday, forcing him to cancel several public commitments.
“On Sunday 25 March, Robin Gibb underwent further intestinal surgery,” the Bee Gees singer’s spokesman said in a statement. “Robin underwent the operation successfully, he is awake and has been talking to his doctors.” According to the Australian this operation was intended to remove a dangerous blood clot from Gibb’s intestine. It’s the follow-up to his emergency surgery in 2010, when doctors treated a twisted intestine. The same problem was responsible for the 2003 death of Maurice Gibb, Robin’s twin brother.
