House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries lucked out on Tuesday. His Democrat Party’s upstart Democratic Socialist (DSA) members let him run unopposed in his primary election. So while other incumbent Democrats in New York City were being obliterated, he sailed to November’s general election. It’s starting to sound like he won’t be as lucky next time, according to one DSA primary winner.
