Ronnie Dunn of the popular country duo Brooks & Dunn took to Facebook following Obama’s response to Orlando’s terrorist attack.

“The worst mass murder in American history attributed to Isis and Obama steps up to the microphone and implies that it will stop if guns are taken away.” Dunn wrote in his June 12 post. “So, a law is passed and we are ordered to turn our guns in (billions of them)…. I bet criminals and “terrorists” / Jihadists will rush to turn their guns in.…..now, that’s leadership. UNBELIEVABLE. RD”

Dunn reached over 37,000 shares and more than 16,000 comments with this post. It also divided his fan base. Commentators either praised the singer or criticized him.

Dunn didn’t walk away from his post. He engaged with many of the criticizing commentators, putting many of them in their place.
