This pretty much sums up where the Jeb! campaign’s at right now:

It really is hypnotic.

But are people being too hard on the guy?

  • Tommycat

I feel so bad for him… Even his own rally doesn’t know when they should clap… How sad that he actually makes Ben Carson seem high energy…

    • ricoliv

I was saddened by this, not because I am one of Jeb;s supporters but because I was sorry to witness the spectacle of a once-successful governor having to plead for applause like a second-rate stand-up comedian who is “dying” on stage.

    • Stuck_in_Ca√→

I just can’t feel bad for him. I’ll be happy to see the Bush and Clinton dynasties come to an end.

    • MH53J

I also felt bad for him, not bad enough to vote for him though. I think this is a problem with many politicians, inability to comprehend reality, or maybe flat out denial.

      • Tommycat

Oh god no, I wouldn’t vote for him.. GAH!!! But still I feel sorry for a guy who was a governor, and if this were 4 years ago, he might have stood a chance, but no way I would vote for him. I’d almost vote Trump before him…

  • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!
    • Jesse-Messy Hammer

From Countermoonbat’s tweet: “Jeb yesterday–‘I want to be your first’.”
…I was like “first WHAT” since I didn’t hear about this yesterday, so I went googling and…UH-OH, running as a #Prez4Prez…GET OUT NOW, Jeb.

      • David ✓’ed out

Clearly, he means first the President Bush whose first name wasn’t George…

        • Jesse-Messy Hammer

…Actually (unless you know this & you’re just busting me) he was telling an 18-year-old female that he wants to be her first vote, which came out perv-y.

          • David ✓’ed out

No, I wasn’t busting you…I was being snarky, but had no idea about the origins…that is kind of creepy. But, better Jeb making that comment than Bernie…SHUDDER.

          • MoxieLouise1

Is that anything like when his brother was talking about women being able to “feel the love from their OB-GYNs”??

          • Jesse-Messy Hammer

When did Dubya ever say that?

          • MoxieLouise1
          • Jesse-Messy Hammer

…I see, and I should’ve guessed…To be fair, that was a “Bushism” on Dubya’s part (G0d Bless him and it wasn’t “sicko” like the video-title says)….Whereas I’ll bet Jeb had a little bit more time to pick his words carefully with that teeny-bopper voter yesterday.

          • MoxieLouise1

Yeah, I don’t know who gave it that title. It was a slip of the tongue, but it lives in infamy nonetheless. That’s OK, so does “57 states”, and that was worse in my opinion 🙂

          • grais

ohgoodlord. I had forgotten that one.

  • Fire and Adjust!

Well hell……….were it Donald, he would have probably said “Clap or I’ll sue”

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

      Don’t give him any ideas.

  • The Masked Avatar

Please Clap. Put that on a t-shirt and I’ll buy it.

    • Fire and Adjust!

Who ever is doing the super bowl half time show should end their show by tearing off a costume shirt to expose an undershirt having “Please Clap” written on it………………that would make my Super Bowl weekend………It would instantaneously be a guaranteed Halloween Costume

    • MoxieLouise1

      “That’s gold, Jerry! Gold!!

  • Fire and Adjust!

“Awww yeah, talking about that one at this year’s family reunion is going to be fun as hell……….”

  • D H

    • Darth Venomous✓unmedicated

      Sorry, can’t help myself…

      GET THE TABLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • D H

        well played, very well played!

  • macandroo

I don’t know what to say.

  • Booj

    slow motion train wreck.

  • JosephBloughs ✓Viagrafied

Apparently low energy doesn’t apply just to the candidate, but his supporters.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

    “Please clap.”

  • Anthony

They’re all tired from yelling “Jeb!”

    • Petrucio14

All eight of them? Maybe they could try it in shifts.

  • David ✓’ed out

Jeb, GO AWAY. It ain’t happening, bro. Call it a day already. And while you are at it, get Huckabee to come with you.

    • Petrucio14

Huckabee has seen the writing on the wall. He has been tried in the balance and has been found wanting, so he tossed in the towel.

      • David ✓’ed out

Did he? I hadn’t seen that he had officially left the race, just Rick Santorum…If Huckabee has left, then he needs to take Jeb with him instead of the other way around…

        • Chuck C.

It’s a shame you missed it. Whatever you think of him, Huckabee made a memorable exit. It’s worth a look.

    • idalily

      And Kasich. Please.

  • JosephBloughs ✓Viagrafied

I would say Bush should stick around and spend lots of money attacking Trump, but I’d be worried that he couldn’t even get that right and Trump’s support would rise.

    • Trump Winning – Bullet2354

He is a tool of the EGOP – you don’t drop 25+ mill in Iowa for giggles…..

  • Christa Siobhan Cartwright

  • DumbDrywaller

    Go home IYeb!
    and get drunk.

  • interestedobserver2

I hate it when I actually feel embarrassed for someone else in public. I think this is the moment when Jeb should finally accept the inevitable and just bow out. I presume he’ll wait until the end of NH to do so, but, if this is the response the supposedly second place guy in NH is getting a week out, then his campaign is over.

  • Russ

    *sad trombone*

  • reddarin

Meh. God forbid Jeb! be the nominee but I agree with T. Becket Adams.

  • joelgol

I am thoroughly enjoying watching the collapse of George H.W. Bush’s dream of three Bush’s winning the presidency. However we need to make sure that the empty headed George P. Bush never wins anything.

    • Petrucio14

There is no good reason to vote for a Bush or a Clinton ever again.

  • Wanderer

Sorry Jeb, clap all you want, Tinkerbell is f***ing dead.

    • Petrucio14

  • Kevin Giltrud

Jeb might get somewhere if he stopped looking like a failed High School Biology or Algebra teacher who lives with his mother,

    Oh, wait!

  • Petrucio14

How will we know which applause is to encourage the Jebster and which is to revive Tinkerbell?

  • Lemonhead

I’m no Jeb fan but how can you not a feeling sorry for the guy.

  • Janice LEE

Just watched Jeb’s NH town hall. Impressive, knowledgeable, and engaged with the audience. Answered all questions with dignity and a total understanding of the issues.

  • jumper297

SooperMexican put it the best I think: Jeb Bush’s campaign is like if that kid had only grazed Old Yeller and they made another 2 hour movie of him dying slowly.

  • fools2234

Loser. LOSER. That’s one thing Trump the clown got right about Yeb. Please drop out soon, you’re a bore and you have no chance.

  • rogleecam

First they had to wake up.

  • JV

  • ChandlerMcChandler

It just seems like he doesn’t want to do this but he was pushed into it by someone. Like it’s his turn. It’s weird, he doesn’t have that fire in his belly to seem genuine. The sooner he drops the better.
So far the only people I know that find him acceptable are older folks.

    • DevilDocNowCiv

At a lower level of all that, and approaching but not yet at pathetic, Dr. Carson. Only not there yet because of all the Trump attention. He went right down in Iowa, and he’s tremendously liked and respected by all who see him, but I just saw him interviewed today and while it included a calm, softspoken “I’m in to win” it came across as “well, kinda, not with much enthusiasm, and only because was asked so much by many people.” Both are paraphrases, but close paraphrases from that interview, Megyn Kelly, Fox. Same good friend needs to talk to the good Doc.

  • HiltonHead_Dude

Every time I watch Jeb, it becomes painfully clear to me that he suffers from a condition many men get after their 40’s, and which can be treated with either a shot twice a month, or a roll on dispenser every day.

And he also is pathetic. But their isn’t a cure for that.

    • DevilDocNowCiv

There is a cure, and it’s easy. He goes to his wife, brother, old pal, whoever is a trusted confidant who can be relied on to tell him what he doesn’t want to hear, but really needs to hear. That will get him, “Jeb, you would have been great, and were a great Gov. It’s clearly not your time, even though many highly placed folks thought it was, and polling shows some strength. Time to return to the daily life of loving and caring family and friends, rewarding career choices, and doing good works of various times. Choose someone to endorse, and do so before the end of today.”

  • Eric Botena

In the video he was trying to be funny but in audio only it sounds pathetic especially when they slow it down a bit and put a pause before Please Clap the way Michael Berry did.

At least we now know that Nostradaumus’ Three Brothers prophecy thankfully will fail.

  • maxgoof

He can’t even use his voice to cue applause right.

  • Knitwit

  • wharfrat

Jeb is spending Millions and nobody listens,he thinks because his Dad and brother were Presidents he should be,he was a great Governor in Florida but he doesn’t have the flash to be President.

  • Jerry Shelton

    Jeb, I can loan you a fork….
    I think you need it.

  • Elizabeth Fisher

This is what happens when the RNC backs a particular candidate so he will always have money in the coffers and won’t drop out until they force him out so they can support Rubio.

  • chetnapier

It’s like an Airport movie you know it’s crashing but you got to watch

  • Socal444

If Bush continues his campaign, it would be tragic. The signs were there for all to see, but he ignored them. Trump is following in his footsteps. His death spiral has begun. Trump’s humiliation will make Bush’s “please clap” event look like a celebration.
