Yesterday afternoon, D.C. police arrested a 58-year-old woman in connection with vandalism at the National Cathedral. She was charged with defacing property.

Jia Mei Tian, a Chinese national, was reportedly in the U.S. on a recently expired visa.
The alleged green paint vandal has a Chinese passport that identifies her as "Jia Tian," according to charging doc.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier believes the vandalism at the National Cathedral and other local landmarks are related.
Tian is due back in court on August 2.
