You know what really pisses me off? Besides most things? Liars. I can’t stand ’em. And in my opinion, I’ve spent way too much of my time at Twitchy calling out liars. That’s time I’ll never get back. And it’s all because there are people out there who don’t care about the truth and refuse to apologize when they get called out for not caring about the truth. It’s just obnoxious.
Take the whole police shooting of Jacob Blake, for instance. Blake was shot two years ago today by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. People rioted over it. Threatened their community and law enforcement. They did all this stuff only for us to learn that the shooting wasn’t, in fact, a textbook case of racist police brutality. Blake was, in fact, threatening a woman and refusing to leave her property after having stolen her keys. Oh, and he was armed. Oh, and there was an arrest warrant for Blake following allegations of felony sexual assault and domestic abuse.
In short, Jacob Blake was a problematic guy, to say the least. But even after all of that came out, some people out there are refusing to admit that Blake isn’t the innocent victim they initially made him out to be. People like the gun control advocates at Newtown Action Alliance, who commemorated the shooting like this:
2 years ago, Jacob Blake was shot in the back at least 7 times by Kenosha, Wisconsin police. Jacob’s children were in the car when their father was shot by police.
Jacob is now paralyzed from the waist down.
