'Inject this thread into my veins': STEM-loving tweeter lays waste to NYT's ode to the woke Soviet space program

As Twitchy told you earlier, the New York Times decided to hold their own beer with this red-hot take on “The Space Race for Equality”:

Aside from the issues that go along with waxing poetic over Soviet-era communism, the New York Times’ thesis is just plain wrong. Tweeter @hollymathnerd, who, according to her bio, dedicates her Twitter feed to “telling stories of mathematical women and stories of women in the space program” as well as “resisting victim narratives,” had more than a few bones to pick with the New York Times’ ode to a bygone era of Soviet space wokeness:

Almost 50, including all these firsts: mother, Chinese-born woman, payload specialist, married couple, black woman, hispanic woman, shuttle pilot and commander, ISS commander, and teacher. More USA distinctions for women astronauts: first Indian-American woman in space, first AND second female commander and pilot, most cumulative time in space (665 days), most EVAs, first woman to make 3rd, 4th, and 5th flights. 5 women (out of 11 total) in current astronaut class.
