WaPo gives Steve Scalise 'four Pinocchios' even though 'he may have a point' on gun control

Much to a lot of the mainstream media’s chagrin, GOP Rep. Steve Scalise remains a strong critic of gun control, despite the attempt on his life. And we certainly can’t have that!

Fortunately, the Washington Post Fact Checker has taken it upon themselves to show us all just how wrong he is:

Here’s what Rep. Scalise said during his October 8 appearance on “Meet the Press”:

You go to a city like Chicago, some of the toughest gun laws in the country are in the city of Chicago and yet they have the worst gun violence.”

Annnnd the verdict is: Four Pinocchios. But also, Scalise “may have a point.”

Couldn’t the Washington Post have, you know, at least pretended to approach their analysis of Scalise’s remarks somewhat objectively?
