Barack Obama praises Americans' faith, thinks we have amnesia

Today during a Cincinnati campaign speech, President Obama put on his best panderface and gave one of his patented shout-outs to the American Everyman. Ever get the feeling our Dear Leader thinks we’re all a bunch of forgetful rubes? Well, here’s proof that you’re right.

Maybe he’s forgotten all those years he spent in Jeremiah Wright’s pulpit, drinking in anti-Americanism as if it were Cristal, but we haven’t.

We haven’t forgotten about this, either:

“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Just be honest, Mr. President: the only faith you’re struck by is your minions’ blind faith in you. As far as you’re concerned, Americans’ sense of faith, pride, and self-reliance is an obstacle to the state-as-religion entitlement culture you’re working so hard to create.
