Legendary banjo player Earl Scruggs passes away

The country music legend and banjo virtuoso passed away today at the age of 88.

Martin’s tweet is especially poignant because the comedian, who is a skilled banjo player as well, played with Scruggs (and a host of other very talented musicians) on a rendition of “Foggy Mountain Breakdown” that won Scruggs his second Grammy in 2002.
