Go ahead and put Mr. Sulu himself, George Takei, firmly in the Pro-Critical-Race-Theory Club:

And we’ll be damned if George Takei can point to a single, concrete example of a parent raging about their kid being taught about Japanese American internment. Where is he getting this stuff?

Weird that George Takei conflates being against Critical Race Theory with historical revisionism. If anything, Critical Race Theory promotes historical revisionism (see Nikole Hannah-Jones and the “1619 Project,” for starters). Opposing Critical Race Theory means opposing false race-driven narratives, not erasing history.

We’re certainly in favor of educating people about the horror of Japanese American internment. And not to be rude, but it seems that George Takei himself could benefit from a refresher course. He appears to have forgotten a very important detail:
