Weird that George Takei conflates being against Critical Race Theory with historical revisionism. If anything, Critical Race Theory promotes historical revisionism (see Nikole Hannah-Jones and the “1619 Project,” for starters). Opposing Critical Race Theory means opposing false race-driven narratives, not erasing history.
No one is suggesting not teaching about slavery or Japanese internment camps or the trail of tears. Parents just don’t want their kids to be taught that skin color defines us or that we should have guilt about our skin color.

We’re certainly in favor of educating people about the horror of Japanese American internment. And not to be rude, but it seems that George Takei himself could benefit from a refresher course. He appears to have forgotten a very important detail:
