As Twitchy told you earlier, BuzzFeed’s Anthony Cormier admitted to CNN’s Alisyn Camerota that he had “not personally” seen the evidence supporting the report he co-authored, a report claiming that Donald Trump directed Michael Cohen to lie during congressional testimony.

The thing is, Jason Leopold, who co-authored the report with Cormier, went on MSNBC later and pretty strongly contradicted Cormier:

Take a look:

Sounds like somebody’s not telling the truth.

Not a good look at all. But they’re used to that.

We’re no journalists or anything, but it seems like if you’re going to run with a “bombshell” story like this, you’d better make damn sure you’ve got your stories straight.

Ha! But seriously. BuzzFeed is a textbook example of how not to journalism.

Did Donald Trump direct Michael Cohen to lie under oath? Well, thanks to BuzzFeed’s uncanny ability to totally blow it, we may never know for sure. Well done, BuzzFeed! As usual.
