As Twitchy told you, Axios reported that Donald Trump has accepted U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s resignation. Other outlets have since confirmed the report.
Sarah Sanders tweeted that Trump would be meeting with Nikki Haley in the Oval Office and that the meeting would be open to media. Shortly thereafter, Trump tweeted this:
Big announcement with my friend Ambassador Nikki Haley in the Oval Office at 10:30am.

Trump in the White House right now: Says Nikki Haley is resigning at UN ambassador at the end of 2018, says she is "fantastic." Haley says she told the president six months ago she may leave at end of the year.

To be fair, constantly slaying at the United Nations probably takes a lot out of you.
This is a huge loss for the Trump admin. Haley was the most effective and popular member of the administration. Looking forward to seeing what she does next.

What she does next could potentially be another role in the Trump administration:

Maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet:
Haley: “No. I’m not running in 2020.”
— Philip Crowther (@PhilipinDC) October 9, 2018
HALEY: “No, I’m not running in 2020.”
She says she will campaign for TRUMP in 2020.
”It has been the honor of a lifetime” to be UN ambassador, she says.
