At today’s White House press briefing, Sarah Huckabee Sanders went off on CNN’s Jim Acosta, who confronted her about Trump’s recent attacks on the media for intentionally spreading fake news:

And CNN’s Chris Cillizza just about lost it:
It is beyond offensive for Sarah Sanders to say that journalists are purposely reporting false information to forward some sort of agenda.
Just appalling.

One could argue that the much of the media’s conduct has been pretty appalling as well.

Let's start with MSNBC's "hands up, don't shoot" agenda, Chris. They fed the public false information about that case and continued doing so even after their "facts" were thoroughly discredited. https://t.co/DoNz9Tg5JN

The media’s house is pretty dirty. They might wanna clean it up before pitching a fit.
Then how does it keep happening? Who are your sources? https://t.co/HOiChwhzfa

Narrator: Actually, some journalists ARE purposely reporting false information to forward some sort of agenda. https://t.co/stgswu2QDC
— RBe (@RBPundit) December 11, 2017
It would be appalling to say that about all journalists, absolutely. And maybe she was. But as a general thing, it's not appalling to claim some journalists do. Because they do. https://t.co/4bhbsuAlPw

Damn right, they do.
"You cannot say it's an honest mistake when you're purposely putting out information you know is false," @presssec says, pointing to something that no one does
