Jessica Tarlov is once again playing the role of chief pearl-clutcher for the left, this time treating President Trump’s $5,000 “Trump dividend” pitch at the GOP midterm convention as if it were some unprecedented moral collapse rather than a politician trying to give money back to voters.

The liberal voice on The Five framed the proposal as the party selling out its old talking points on deportations, endless wars, and the Epstein files in exchange for a cash enticement, all while conveniently skipping over the years of stimulus checks, expanded credits, and welfare expansions her own side championed.

Classic Tarlov: the same woman who spends her days defending Democratic spending as compassion suddenly discovers the word “bribe” the moment Republicans float sending checks to American adults.

The one thing you can say is that whether or not you agree with Trump's offer, it really does put Democrats in a rough place because they're the party of freebies and mooches. How can they argue with Trump doing what they do all of the time?
