Full transparency.
I started writing this post a few days ago, and for whatever reason, I didn't get to it before I took a couple of days off for vacation. Yes, even I take a break every once in a while, especially if I feel like I'm starting to lose my sense of humor about all of this.
And yes, I was finding it harder and harder to laugh at the hate and stupidity before I took a couple of days off.
Luckily, the time away helped, and I was able to breathe, remind myself of what is and isn't important, and get back to doing what I love, which just so happens to be what I do best.
Making fun of the hate and stupidity.
So here we are, talking about a post I didn't think the Lefty Blue Virginia account would actually delete, but... they did.
First, let me show you what it said - sadly, the video they shared is missing, but I can tell you all about it.

See? Gone. Now, you have to ask yourselves what could be so bad and give off such a bad impression that a Lefty would delete it ...
A video was taken of a Confederate flag in a yard that happened to have a Vote No sign in it as well. Basically, Speaker Don Scott (you guys should check out his criminal history, no, I'm not kidding) was implying that people who don't want their voices stolen are racists and Confederates. At the time, I thought to myself, 'Self, if they're going down this path, they are actually pretty nervous about winning (or not winning) this special election.'
The fact that they deleted it tells me everything I need to know.
It was NOT a good look, and it did NOT help their efforts. Living in Virginia, I have learned many things, one of which is that people who are truly from here see the Confederate flag as their heritage ... not as some sort of white nationalist symbol of hate. You'd think Democrats, especially, would know better... just sayin'.
