You know me, I love a good dig that cuts right to the heart of any hypocrisy, and this one about our brand new governor, Abigail Spanberger, is a doozy.
It would appear that Abi's official portrait is 'special,' and not because she's the first female governor of Virginia. No no. She's the first governor to leave the actual Virginia flag out of her official portrait. For the first time ever.
Yeah, she's special. And not in a good way.
There's Spanberger looking all smug and arms-crossed confident, smiling like she just won the lottery (which, let's be real, becoming governor in Virginia after her CIA stint kinda is). Behind her? An American flag, sure, but conspicuously absent is the good ol' Virginia flag with its iconic 'Sic Semper Tyrannis' motto. You know, the one that's been a staple in every governor's portrait since forever?
Then, on the right side of the collage, you've got a lineup of previous Virginia governors – all dudes, all suited up, and every single one of them posing proudly in front of that Virginia flag. We're talking Mark Warner, Tim Kaine, Bob McDonnell, Terry McAuliffe, Ralph Northam (blackface scandal and all), Glenn Youngkin, and a few more for good measure. It's like a visual mic drop: 'Hey, remember when governors actually repped their state?'

I do. Sorta.

Pretty shameful, but then again, everything she's done is pretty shameful, so this should be a surprise to anyone.
Almost as if she wants to make sure we know she's a tyrant. I know, that sounds dramatic, but you guys, she's so damn awful.
Honestly, what she's probably doing is reminding Democrats that ultimately her goal is to run for president, hence just the American flag. She did run on nothing more than Trump hate and lies about making life more affordable, so admit it, that makes sense for someone that nasty.

And yeah, she's nasty.
