Look who's suddenly trying to pretend he's a constitutional scholar while clutching his pearls over congressional oversight - none other than Senator Cory 'Spartacus' Booker, sharing a post that's equal parts sanctimonious lecture and selective amnesia.
In his latest bid for relevance, Booker wails that Congress has 'failed' by not rubber-stamping or checking some presidential military move, conveniently forgetting all those times his party cheered on executive overreach when it suited their agenda.
Not to mention, this was not technically an act of war ... so I'm not entirely sure what he thinks Congress needed to oversee here. Plus, and let's be honest, they couldn't really share with Congress because some of them love to 'leak' to their favorite media outlets.
Sorry for the visual.

The Constitution is clear:
— Sen. Cory Booker (@SenBooker) January 4, 2026
Congress has the power and responsibility to authorize the use of military force and declare war. Congress has a duty of oversight. Congress must serve as a check, not a rubber stamp to the President.
On these counts, Congress has failed.
If I tried to count the number of times Booker has failed, I'd be here all day. In other words, 'Ain't nobody got time for dat.'

When Democrats start pretending to care about the Constitution, which they clearly see as a barrier (Obama himself admitted as much), you know it's never a good thing.

It's different when Democrats do it. Or something.
You do realize that people can read the constitution for themselves and that this lie is easily debunked, don’t you? Sure you do. Just think you’re constituents are stupid, and you’re probably right.

They did vote for him, after all.

Truth only confuses people like Cory.
Still seething that you were unable to tip him off in time. Loser.

About this ... I have seen a rumor floating around that some Democrats found out and did try to tip Maduro off ahead of time BUT I can't verify that so please take it with a grain of salt. What's really sad about this though, is if we could trust Democrats out of the gate, none of us would believe this could be true.
As it stands, the best I can say here is I am on the fence about it.
I know, just call me tinfoil hat Bunny.
