Pre-2021, my county was one of the reddest counties in Virginia. Many people saw us as the 'wall' between crazy blue Richmond and the rest of the south, west, southwest regions of the state. We stood strong in the face of progressive insanity; we were even the final county in 2021 to give Youngkin his big win.
It. Was. Awesome.
Since our county was red, we were open long before blue areas after the lockdowns and of course, we have some of the best schools in the state. So of course, when Northern Virginia continued to suck because of all the leftist policies in place, the people there WHO HAD VOTED for that nonsense realizing they couldn't live that way and started moving south.
Now my county is purple. We even elected some doorknob liberal to represent our district WHICH WAS UNHEARD OF. It's honestly infuriating how leftists destroy communities and then flee to other communities and gradually destroy them as well. Like locusts.
They should have to stay in any community they wreck.
I really wish leftists could live in a place where only leftists were impacted by their policies…they pay the taxes…they live with the consequences. No one to plunder. No one to blame but themselves. And no where to escape to.
