I'm not writing about that freakin' calendar.
Promise.
But I do think it's time we have a little chit-chat about women, and more specifically conservative women. As I am one, I kinda sorta totally feel like I might know a thing or two about the subject (although if I'm being honest, women are tough to read, even when it comes to other women). I have noticed a trend as of late where unfortunately if a woman is too sexy, or too mouthy, or uses curse words too often (ahem) we're supposed to somehow frown upon them. Shame them. How DARE women have curves and curse like a sailor when it comes to the conservative tent.
Yes, I've had this argument before very publicly on Twitter/X. If you missed it, lucky you.
Somewhere along the line we somehow forgot to embrace individuality AND that can and often does include beautiful even sexy women. Let's be honest, conservative women are as a rule pretty damn beautiful ... so why would we ever thumb our noses at them? Hey, at least we're not blue-hairs who get confused when it comes to our gender and try to marry oak trees.
Case in point, this post from Isabella Maria DeLuca ...
brown butter caramel cake is the messiest thing i’ve made thus far pic.twitter.com/urfHoGWv66

She's beautiful.
Gorgeous even.
But somehow this is 'sexualized' content. No really, I'm not even making this up. What, she has curves? She's wearing clothes that fit her? WHO CARES? All I want to know is how the cake turned out and when I can make it for my family. And hello, if I could look that lovely while baking a cake I would.
Any woman telling you otherwise is lying.
So *this* is the "sexualized" video that people are shaming her for?

::pause::
Seriously, wtf? As someone married to a woman with ample curves, I find it outrageous that she'd get harassed for wearing modest clothing while bosomy. https://t.co/b4oP14hW1M
As someone with ample curves, I also find this outrageous. I also happen to drop an f-bomb here and there and let's be honest, I am the furthest thing from rainbows and butterflies out there. And hey, I know I'm not for everyone, but I have a place in this movement, curves, curses, chainsaws and all.
If we want our movement to grow, if we want to win elections, we have got to stop with the judgy 'how dare you' attitude. Note, I am not telling you you can't disagree BUT when Right-wingers 'punish' beautiful women we only give the mouth-breathers on the Left more ammo.
And I don't know about you all but I'm tired of losing ...
