House releases COVID origins report that shows EXACTLY how politics influenced the science (like, DUH)

I know, I'm preaching to the choir when writing for you, dear reader. It's easy to forget how much more many of you know than even I do. There are normal people, there are people who follow politics, and then there are maniacs like me (and many of you) who live and breathe this stuff. And I say maniacs because it's accurate. We are the first ones over the wall, we're the ones willing to get 'bloody' in a fight, and we don't mind taking a punch if necessary. All of this being metaphorical, mind you. I mean you all could be getting into fights ...

I haven't been in one in over 25 years.

Holy cow, I'm getting old. ANYWAY, now that I've gotten completely off-topic (which I tend to do when writing VIP), it sounds like the House has released a new COVID origins report that shows pretty much what we all knew.

It was political. Or, let me say this in a safe way, 'Politics played a big part in the science.'

THE SCIENCE. Remember when Fauci said he was the science? Yeah ...

The a-holes shaming us about not following the science were in NO WAY following the science.

Again, you knew that as well as I did.

Take a look:

Kyle is a pretty smart cookie. He wrote the following:

According to the subcommittee authors, led by Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), the actions of scientific researchers, in consultation with public health officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former Director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Francis Collins, the former Director of the National Institutes of Health, and Sir Jeremy Farrar, the former director of the Wellcome Trust and now chief scientist at the World Health Organization, skewed the results of its medical research on the virus’s origins to discredit the view that it was likely from a laboratory leak as that of a “conspiracy theory.”

This was intended to cover-up the likelihood that the virus had mutated as the result of gain-of-function research, or alternatively, serial passage among laboratory animals, and had escaped the lab, even if it had happened unintentionally, the subcommittee authors argued.

Likely a laboratory leak.

Not a bat from some weird food market.

SHOCKING.

You feel shocked, right? I do.

Totally.

They all knew it was wrong. The problem was (and still is), none of them really cared about it being wrong until they were found out ... they only care because there could be consequences. Notice I said COULD be. Not will be.

Sorry, but I have to be realistic when it comes to any sort of bureaucrat like Fauci being held accountable.

But hopefully, they keep digging, and maybe with Rand Paul? Maybe?
