Butler leaves Horizon, joins A-10

The Butler Bulldogs have announced that beginning July 1, 2013 all sports will now compete in the Atlantic 10.

The Bulldogs have reached the Men’s NCAA Final Four title game in two of the past three years, but lost to a team from a major conference both times in Duke and Connecticut.

The move is a step up for the program, as seven teams in the conference have a Final Four appearance and will give the school more exposure to recruits.
