Somewhere in the night, on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Barry Manilow’s name was taken in vain not once. But twice.
GOP Sen. Mike Lee, providing a little back-up relief to Sen. Ted Cruz, ran with an extended analogy about the government forcing consumers to spend too much on unnecessary things, including cowboy poetry (heh) and yes, 1970s albums.
@SenMikeLee:O'Care like going to store to buy eggs & milk but forced to buy Cowboy poetry & Barry Manilow album too.#MakeDCListen

Really enjoyed @SenMikeLee taking a jab at Harry Reid over the cowboy poetry book. Excellent speech senator! #StandWithCruz #MakeDCListen

Why? Because on a serious note, America’s listening and tuned in to Cruz and company’s stand against the destructive regime of Obamacare, even in the deaf elites in Washington are not.
