The pop singer’s Top 40 hit “Die Young” was yanked from radio airwaves yesterday in response to the Newtown, Conn., school massacre. She took to Twitter earlier to express her sadness:
She also urged her fans to contribute to a Newtown-related charity:
We’re not sure what she means when she claims that she was “forced to” sing the song, on which she is listed as a co-writer. Maybe that’s her excuse for this verse:
