TIME tantrum: Some people notice something telling about the Trump 'Person of the Year' cover

As our readers know, President-elect Donald Trump won TIME mag’s “Person of the Year,” as was expected by many. But check out what the editors at TIME thought fit to snarkily do:

When it was Obama, he was just president, when it's Trump, he's president of the "divided states of America." pic.twitter.com/pIq2oKvrVm

Pitiful, TIME. Bitter much?

TIME—

EDITOR 1: gotta be trump. he's president of the united states.
ED 2: more like divided states.
ED 3: lol
ED 4: lol
ED 5: lol
ED 6: lo

Honored our #PEOTUS @realDonaldTrump is Time Person of Year!

But Time chose to use neg and offensive word, The "DIVIDED" States of America pic.twitter.com/ntuHMwG5XS

Outside of post-911, the United States has always been "divided" to a varying degree. To attribute it to Trump is moronic.

Of course it is. And what about President Obama’s help there?

Perhaps this is part of the editors’ stompy foot petulance:

Pay close attention to this sequence. pic.twitter.com/k3tFrDLqCz

Hilarious.

An exit point for the editors at TIME from President-elect Trump:

.@realDonaldTrump @foxandfriends counters @TIME's narrrative: "When you say 'divided states' I didn't divide 'em. They were divided already"
