“@Daniel_Aldana1: @dariusrucker why aren't you invited to the CMA this year?!” Don't know

Darius Rucker rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish.
Now he’s a country music star, and his cover of “Wagon Wheel” is burning up the charts.
Fans were disappointed to learn that Rucker didn’t receive an invitation to CMA Fest, a big country music festival that takes place in Nashville in a few weeks.
@dariusrucker how could you not be invited to CMA fest?? You are one of my fav singers and cant wait for you to come to Toronto!

About three weeks ago, Rucker’s website posted an item about a contest to “Meet Darius At CMA Music Fest!”
Why would Rucker (or his staff) post that if Rucker hadn’t been invited?
It’s all very odd.
