Former presidential aide David Axelrod sent out a mass email last night encouraging people to watch President Barack Obama’s speech about the Newtown massacre. Notably, Axelrod did not link to the post about the speech at the White House website. Rather, he linked to a post at President Obama’s official campaign site.
Some recipients considered the email to be in poor taste:

It’s true. The linked page includes two donation buttons. As best as we can tell, proceeds from the donations go to the Obama/Biden presidential campaign (Obama for America).
And we thought the presidential campaign was over. Silly us!
