The Obamacare debacle just gets worse and worse. “Unexpectedly,” natch.
Americans can’t keep the plans they like. Period. And many of those lucky enough to sign up for health insurance are facing limited networks of doctors and hospitals.
But that’s not the only reason Obama’s “you can keep your doctor” promise was a lie. Some doctors — “coddled, overpaid” doctors, according to Matt Yglesias — are fleeing the Obamacare rules and restrictions that make staying in practice increasingly difficult.

You can keep your doctor? Not if your doctor won’t see you now.

While some are retiring or quitting, others are moving to concierge and cash-only practices.

— Michael Raven (@AjaxAndAtlas) October 28, 2013

@RealJamesWoods My doctor that I've seen for 15 yrs (half my life) moved to VIP. I can't afford the $2500 to keep her.

Americans began losing their doctors even before the failed Oct. 1 launch of the HealthCare.gov marketplace.

My doctor for 23 years is leaving his practice to teach in med school rather than deal with Obamacare. Oh, crap! Now what?
— Seeing Red (@crand459) September 27, 2013
Attention @BarackObama: I didn't get to keep my doctor. She left b/c of Obamacare. Thanks a lot. It's hard enough finding a doctor.
