IDF spokesperson Avital Leibovich confirmed that warning shots were fired at a crowd of Palestinians hurling rocks at a border fence in the Gaza Strip Friday. Ynet News described the activity near the fence as “riots.”
Trying to breach the fence is “breaking ceasefire,” Leibovich tweeted. The ceasefire agreement took effect on Wednesday, and says that all Palestinian factions must stop “attacks along the border.”
