Gloves. Off.

Romney surrogate John Sununu blasted President Obama during a conference call today, calling out the president’s infuriating belief that American entrepreneurs “didn’t build” their businesses.

Sununu’s remarks in context, via Matt Lewis:

“The men and women all over America who have worked hard to build these businesses,” Sununu said, “is how our economy became the envy of the world. It is the American way. And I wish this president would learn how to be an American.”

Sununu later clarified that his comments were regarding the economy, saying: “The president has to learn the American formula for creating business.”

Quick! Somebody grab the smelling salts for the Smarter Than You™ media types and liberal hacks. They’re barely hanging onto their pearls as they stage-swoon delicately onto their fainting couches.

Why hello there, media bias. You’re looking blatant as ever.

And of course, as the lapdog media and progressive parrots spin Sununu’s on-target attack into evidence of birtherism and racism, the Obama campaign is milking this for all it’s worth. And then some.

Why are they really yammering about this? Because Sununu’s remark was so effective.

And Sununu forced the media to acknowledge President Obama’s utter disregard for business owners.

One of Mitt Romney’s top surrogates Tuesday morning said he wished President Obama “would learn how to be an American.”

In a conference call with reporters, former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu criticized President Obama’s comments in Virginia on Friday when, talking about how the government builds infrastructure, the president said, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.”

BOOM! The lapdogs at ABC had no choice but to cover the president’s outrageous assault on entrepreneurs if they wanted a chance to knock Sununu around.

You know, it’s odd, but we don’t recall the in-the-tank media freaking out over Obama’s attack on Romney’s patriotism.

Or Bush’s patriotism.

And Team Obama’s continued insistence that Romney may very well be a felon seems to be peachy keen with the lapdog media.

Conservatives easily anticipated the media reaction before it even began: omit context, thump chests, cry birther. Rinse. Repeat.

But the usual media nonsense isn’t going to sway conservatives from embracing Sununu’s jabs at the president.

Well, as long as that army isn’t responsible for recommending Supreme Court nominees.

Sorry, lapdogs, we’re on to you.
