Good luck with that! If Amy Klobuchar is any indication, 2020 Dems explaining the economy will be laughable

Minnesota Sen. and 2020 presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar was asked about the historic success the U.S. economy is currently enjoying and whether President Trump should be credited with helping spur it on.

She instead invoked Barack Obama.

When Jake Tapper noted that unemployment is at its lowest level since he was nine-months-old and pressed her on whether she would give Trump any credit, she said:

“I’m thinking about when we were in that downturn, and President Obama came into office. And he had to deal with Congress to try to one, right the financial industry, and two, get us on the road to recovery. And I remember that the Republicans giving him grief when he took any credit for that. So I think that we have had policies in place, starting with President Obama, that have aided that recovery.”

First, Obama got to “deal with” a Congress that was made up entirely of his party and that adored him when he entered office.

And, are Democrats really still, over a decade later, in the business of blaming George W. Bush for the failures of Barack Obama’s presidency?

They cannot admit the truth, which is that the policies of deregulation and tax cuts have ignited the economy.

Removing impediments that Democrats place in front of small businesses causes them to *shocked face* flourish.

They can’t admit that because the very truth of it disqualifies every single Democrat running for office.
