The Department of Homeland Security just put out the following message, inviting and welcoming more refugees into the United States.
We can and we will continue to ensure our own safety, while doing our share to welcome those fleeing terrorism & violence. #RefugeesWelcome

The problem is that they can’t “ensure” anyone’s safety while welcoming thousands of refugees into the country.

It is also mind-blowing that a message such as this would be disseminated on Twitter by a government agency. Then again, it’s par for the course for this administration. This is not the first time that an administration account has used the hashtag #RefugeesWelcome.
