For the first time in New York Mets history, a pitcher has thrown a no-hitter. Johan Santana joins an elite fraternity of Major League Baseball pitchers to not give up a hit during a complete game. His accomplishment came as the Mets defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 8-0.
