Talk show host and former CIA analyst Buck Sexton took CNN to task over its headline about an illegal immigrant who was detained while driving his pregnant wife to the hospital.
The detail that the headline does not include? The fact that he’s wanted for murder.
The arrest warrant is for murder.
But “illegal alien wanted for murder arrested at inconvenient time” isn’t as catchy a headline as what CNN went with here, I guess. pic.twitter.com/pE8bYiC5jb

It is all about the details that are put into the headline.
The fact that he was driving his wife to the hospital seems mostly irrelevant when the murder charge is presented into the story.

A tweet from ABC News had a similar theme, and Sexton points out that his murder charge will serve as an inconvenient impediment of the anti-ICE/open-borders crowd’s narrative.
This was only a national news story because it served the lib narrative of “abolish ice”’and “look how evil our immigration laws are”
But this guy is wanted for murder, so this story will disappear as it is no longer useful to the Left https://t.co/fnIo28Jokg

It’s all about the narrative.
