Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards changed his tune Sunday on CNN about whether Donald Trump’s visit to his flood-ravaged state was beneficial.

Originally, he said that Trump wasn’t welcome to the state for a photo-op and that he preferred that he make a donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund. Now he says Trump’s visit was helpful.

And he denies ever downplaying Trump’s visit.

Real help is on the way, though. As soon as President Obama gets through with a few more rounds of golf, he is going to be revved up and ready to go. He is sacrificially carving out some time to visit the damaged areas of Louisiana on Tuesday. At least, that is what his schedule is as of now. What a leader.
