Strategic strokes: Obama enjoys ‘rare golf outing’ with members of Congress

Rare isn’t exactly the appropriate term to describe Obama’s tendency to hit the links. But when he does, very seldom are members of Congress in the group.

Pres Obama rarely invites members of Congress to play golf. Last time May 6, 2013: Senators Chambliss, Corker, R-TN., and Udall, D-CO.

So why is he playing a rare round with members of Congress today?

Obama golfing with Reps. Joe Courtney, Ed Perlmutter and John Yarmuth today. Three Dem votes he would need on Iran deal.
