Data journo Nate Silver warned Dems that the political reality post-Roe means that things will not change anytime soon. He tweeted:
“It’s true in many aspects of life that having a longer time horizon is rewarding. But it’s easy to forget that in politics especially in a social media era where you can get algorithmically-rewarded instant gratification.”

And he told Dems to “expand the time horizon to 5, 10, 20 years”:
If you're a progressive concerned about conservative judicial overreach then frankly a) it's probably just getting started; b) there's not a lot you can do about it in the short term (other than win elections). So maybe it's time to expand the time horizon to 5, 10, 20 years.

Maybe it’s just dawned on Dems that this was a 40-50 year project for conservatives?
It's not like the conservative movement has been hiding its intentions. We've spent 40 years being open and transparent about moving the Court right and people seem freaked out we actually did it. And all that means is you gotta work at the state level now.

And OUCH from Frank Luntz: “Anecdotally, I’ve seen liberal activists focus more on pronouns or removing statues than on the SCOTUS”:
I’ve been saying this for years and even did a @FrontlinePBS interview about it: https://t.co/ft6JzxO0Pp
Conservatives have been focused on the federal judiciary for decades.

EMILY’s List, a supporter of pro-abortion candidates, tweeted that “we must make [Republicans] pay at the ballot box”:
Overturning Roe v. Wade has been in the Republican playbook for nearly 50 years. We must make them pay at the ballot box.

Um, what if voters just don’t care that much?
“It’s unclear whether abortion opinions would outweigh the public’s opinions about other issues where Democrats are vulnerable.”
