I know this may shock a lot of readers, but Nina Jankowicz, the executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s new Disinformation Governance Board, is also a lockdown hypocrite along with all the other things we’ve pointed out over the past few days.
It all started with this tweet on a hike she took at the beginning of the pandemic that turned her into a “lockdown evangelist.” We’re not sure where it was taken, but it’s certainly not a place where Covid was spreading in March of 2020:
I went for a hike today and it has turned me into a lockdown evangelist.
I left home early, planned to stay at least 6 feet from other humans, and for about 75% of the trail, managed to do just that.
Until all the late risers made it to the park. Here’s what I saw: pic.twitter.com/uoWWsG0jdt

The first triggering occurred when a “high-school aged couple” on date “did not stay 6 feet away” from her:
-a clearly high-school aged couple (one was wearing a varsity jacket). WHO ARE THESE PARENTS LETTING THEIR KIDS OUT ON DATES?!
(They did not stay 6 feet away from me, despite a wide path)

And then it got worse. . .
“Three groups of 6-9 people that were almost certainly not from the same household” passed her on the trail (note: she can’t know if they were in the same household or not):

And “a bunch of small groups that didn’t even attempt to give those they were passing any sort of berth”:

She ended with a plea to the government to “Lock us down” because being outdoors and next to random people for a few seconds just isn’t safe:
Anyway, long story short, I think we as a country might be too… um, free-spirited?! (to put it diplomatically) to comply with social distancing recommendations unless they’re forced upon us. So force away! Lock us down. People are not taking this seriously.

But a little less than three months later, the “lockdown evangelist” who accused Americans of not taking Covid “seriously,” was out on the streets protesting the death of George Floyd:

But a day earlier, masked journos in the Rose Garden was “hugely irresponsible.” Which is it?:
This is a hugely irresponsible move on behalf of the WH.
Add to the poor messaging and optics of not wearing masks and *holding in-person briefings at all,* which many of our allies stopped doing months ago. https://t.co/YlLHid6Q2X

Anyway, Jankowicz ended up getting a Covid test after protesting. . .
Getting a COVID test today after protesting last weekend and a thing I did not know is: ideally you shouldn't eat or drink for 5 hours before your test.
As a serial snacker and highly dependent coffee drinker, I am afraid of what the next 4 hours 40 minutes hold 😬

. . .and accidentally helped prove that outdoor activities are safe! Thanks:
FWIW, I haven't displayed any symptoms- just trying to be a responsible citizen!

Now, would it be too much to ask if President Biden’s Minister of Truth — or whatever nickname we’re giving her — would admit she was wrong in March?
2020: Going to church, the beach, or the playground was too dangerous — but riots were good for public health!
(If you dispute the logic behind this statement, you may be guilty of Disinformation and require re-education by DHS) https://t.co/eKLMzxj2uz
