French professional soccer player Kurt Zouma has apologized after a video surfaced online showing him kicking and slapping a cat:

And there are calls to criminally prosecute Zouma over it:

But, it appears, that the Met Police will not investigate the incident:

But there is a chance that the the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals could still get involved:
'Regardless of the Met not wishing to prosecute I think the RSPCA will want to do so.'
