The City of London is putting in place new restriction over Covid-19 infections which will, in effect, ban millions from gathering indoors:

In summary, you’re only allowed to socialize at home or in a public place with members of your “household or support bubble”:
This means: ‘you must not socialise with anybody outside of your household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place’ https://t.co/eMQbJ95m0E

But it remains to be seen if they can police this:
London moving to 'tier 2' COVID restrictions. It means a ban on different households mixing indoors. The city's hospitality industry is freaking out because you now can't go to a restaurant etc with anyone other than people from your own home. Big implications – if policed

Other cities in England are moving to Tier 2 as well:
Breaking: Health Secretary @MattHancock tells MPs in the Commons that London, Essex, Elmbridge, Barrow in Furness, York, North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield and Erewash will be moved to Tier 2 of England's coronavirus restrictions from midnight on Friday into Saturday.

And “Europe has overtaken the U.S.” in per-capita cases:

It’s almost as if all Western nations are facing the same issue and it’s not related to President Trump’s leadership:
#CORONAVIRUS update 10/15/2020:
*Tier 2 restrictions in London: indoor meetings barred, except family and “support bubble.”
*France imposes 9pm curfew in Paris, Lyon, Marseille & other cities.
