Remember Michael Tracey? He’s the Young Turks Network reporter we told you about last year after he accused Rep. Maxine Waters of shoving him outside the Capitol:
Rep. Maxine Waters just shoved me and angrily stormed off as I asked her questions. (Not a violent shove but she initiated physical contact)
— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) June 3, 2017
You can watch for yourself shortly — the questions were reasonable. Extremely suspect for a member of Congress to shove anybody.
— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) June 3, 2017
It wasn't "an assault" by any stretch but there's no justification for escalating physical contact like that.
— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) June 3, 2017
Video of the incident later showed that even calling it a non-violent shove was a stretch:
RT LouiseMensch "RT zatchry: Michael Tracey tweeted Maxine Waters "shoved" him. Here's the video. This is what he … pic.twitter.com/U8szNMxGy4"

Anyway, Tracey is back with a scorcher of a hot take where he lambasts journos for exaggerating the risk of physical harm in their jobs. That’s right — the guy who exaggerated his confrontation with a grandma is lecturing everyone else on the physical risk of being a journalist:
Journalists obviously shouldn't be maliciously threatened, but let's be clear about something. The average journalist in the United States is in no way at risk of physical harm. Pretending otherwise inflates their collective ego. Try talking to commercial fishermen or roofers

And because this is Twitter, DRAG HIM!
I can't believe after what you survived last year you would be so cavalier about the safety of journalists https://t.co/bY0AKd0u0P

I'll be sure to ask my dad, who's a roofer, if he cares about the Nazis who've showed up at my magazine's office twice to threaten my staff. https://t.co/Tee8N010cq

Or you could try piping down and let ppl who have every right to be terrified do so. Tweeting this the day after five ppl are murdered in a newsroom reveals you a lil slow on the uptake and lack basic sympathy. https://t.co/QCWPz4z4KZ

Very brave comment after Maxine Waters powerbombed you from on top of the steel cage through 3 tables last year. Very brave. https://t.co/0939KK8J9l

How can you even say this, given that Maxine Waters broke every single one of your fingers, cut off your ear, and then threw you out a window that one time? https://t.co/vGlpqTlBcR

This, coming from the man who came crying to Twitter about @RepMaxineWaters "assaulting" him. Wow. https://t.co/3S3jqG2Cu9
— Gennette Cordova (@GNCordova) June 29, 2018
Well well well looks like somebody's forgotten the brave journalist who was BRUTALLY PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED by Maxine Waters https://t.co/B69s0q2jDA

So funny.
