Giant hypocrite Gov. Andrew Cuomo kills 'vulnerable' shark

New York Governor and his brother, CNN’s Chris Cuomo, are taking some heat after posting these photos of a thresher shark they caught off of the coast of Long Island:

Now, not only is the Thresher shark listed as a “vulnerable” species…

…but Cuomo himself signed legislation in 2013 to stop shark fin sales that are used in soup:

From the Times:

Mr. Cuomo, an avid fisherman, said that he signed the legislation, which will take effect next year, to help safeguard the tens of millions of sharks that are killed each year for their fins.

So sharks killed for a pic are OK? What a hypocrite.

The Cuomos are avid fisherman and have gone after sharks before:

A rep for Gov. Cuomo told the New York Post that everything was legal because people eat Thresher sharks:

A rep for Cuomo replied, “This is an edible game fish that is indigenous to New York waters and catching them is allowable under both state and federal regulations.”

Exit question: So, did they eat the fish or not?
