Advocate magazine deletes tweet calling Rubio donor a 'gay billionaire'

Earlier this afternoon Advocate magazine, billed as the world’s leading #LGBT #News Source, published an article calling Marco Rubio supporter Paul Singer a “gay billionaire.” Here’s the now deleted tweet:

There’s just one problem — Singer isn’t gay:

So far, @Advocate hasn’t explained the error on its timeline, but there is a correction online in an article with a different URL that now calls Singer an “LGBT-Supportive Billionaire.”

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story referred to Paul Singer as gay. His son and son-in-law married in Massachusetts in 2009.
