Is there an error in that Senate GOP letter to Iran? [screenshot]

Harvard Law Professor Jack Goldsmith wrote yesterday that there’s an error in Harvard Law School alum Sen. Tom Cotton’s letter warning Iran’s leaders on the dangers of signing a nuclear deal with President Obama that doesn’t have Senate approval. Here’s a screenshot:

Goldsmith ends his blog post with this:

This is a technical point that does not detract from the letter’s message that any administration deal with Iran might not last beyond this presidency.  (I analyzed this point here last year.)  But in a letter purporting to teach a constitutional lesson, the error is embarrassing.

So aside from this “technical” error, everything else holds?

Moving on now.
