Jose A. Del Real, one of the journos attacked by his colleague at the Washington Post, Felicia Sonmez, just won the Livingston Award given to the “best journalist in America under 35”:
Huge congratulations to @jdelreal for winning the Livingston Award!! It's a joy to read his stories.

LOL. If you recall, Real was forced to block Sonmez on Twitter after she put him on blast over his mild criticism of her tweets:
So I hear The Washington Post is a collegial workplace. pic.twitter.com/RB0U3pz1vr

Sonmez had called out the tweets to management and got pissed when they weren’t taken down:
These tweets falsely accusing me of “clout chasing,” “bullying,” “cruelty” and directing an “eager mob” to carry out “a barrage online abuse” are still up … even after I repeatedly raised them to management and noted that I’ve been receiving threats and abuse.
Collegial! pic.twitter.com/uZpoGEyEGh

Anyway, Real’s “collegial” colleagues are now congratulating him on his award for reporting on “truth, trust and conspiracy theories”:
A hearty congratulations to my friend and colleague @jdelreal for winning the Livingston Award today for being the best journalist in America under 35. Jose's reportage on truth, trust and conspiracy theories has been both vital and revelatory.https://t.co/zqwbLyWtz1

Well, this surely will throw a monkey wrench in Sonmez’s plan to get Real disciplined by the Post:
Many congrats to both the lovely and talented @jdelreal and the late Fred Hiatt for their Livingston Awards. Fred won for mentorship, and be sure to check out Jose's winning series, on Truth, Trust and Conspiracy Theories in America. https://t.co/gTR0qUhwQv

Congrats to Jose Del Real for his well-deserved Livingston Award. Take a moment to read his winning pieces, all explorations of how a divided country can move past conflict to understanding.https://t.co/eNlaXah9GMhttps://t.co/MnSqjmDGuMhttps://t.co/RjeGI8SlEx
