Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs:

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Rodgers is unvaccinated:
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is unvaccinated, per me and @MikeGarafolo. That’s why he’s out for Sunday vs. the #Chiefs.

During the offseason when Rodgers was asked if he was vaccinated, he said that he was “immunized”:

Apparently “immunized” doesn’t mean “vaccinated,” according to the NFL:
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was quoted as saying he’s been “immunized.” By the letter of the law in the NFL, that does not equal vaccinated. https://t.co/g5xyjDZ6uL

There are conflicting reports on if Rodgers was following protocols for an unvaccinated player or not.
Rapoport says he was:
My understanding is that Aaron Rodgers has been following protocols for unvaccinated players while inside the building. https://t.co/g5xyjDZ6uL
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 3, 2021
But there are other reports that say he wasn’t, which could spell trouble for the Packers:
Aaron Rodgers also hasn’t been following any of the protocol for unvaccinated players in terms of mask wearing from what I can tell
sooo…did that man lie to the NFL too??

If Rodgers is unvaccinated, he's been breaking NFL-NFLPA protocols all season long. His vaccination status should be known to the Packers, and thus the league, and he should have been fined fairly regularly. It doesn't appear he has been.

Aaron Rodgers is not vaccinated. In August, he created the clear impression that he is. Throughout the preseason, he repeatedly violated protocol by not wearing a mask on the sidelines when not in uniform, presumably to bolster his ruse. https://t.co/QIFkgjq47Z

The earliest he can return is Saturday, Nov. 13, one day before the Packers play the Seattle Seahawks:
The earliest that Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers can come back based on NFL-NFLPA protocols is Saturday Nov. 13.
