Justin Gray of WSB-TV in Atlanta received an email from Georgia-based attorney Lin Wood that said he’s been “domiciled in South Carolina for several months after purchasing property in the state in April”. . .
Lin Wood confirms to me that he has moved out of Georgia. He says it has nothing to do with GA bar investigating him. He plans to maintain his GA Bar license & eventually join the SC bar. Part of his email to me is below: pic.twitter.com/IBAGK4oxmZ

. . .and email has triggered an investigation by the Georgia Secretary of State to see if Wood, who claims the 2020 election was stolen from President Trump, voted illegally in the state:
a @wsbtv exclusive at 6: I've confirmed @GaSecofState has launched an official investigation into whether attorney Lin Wood voted illegally. Wood was 1 of most visible, controversial people claiming illegal voting in GA – now state is investigating if he was really a GA resident pic.twitter.com/wymswC17ug

Wood has also been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation by the State Bar of Georgia:

Wood later responded to the story, saying he has been “a resident of the State of Georgia since 1955” and that he changed his residency to South Carolina only “yesterday”:

According to Gray, it was that email Wood sent to him and his very own words that triggered the investigation in the first place:
our @wsbtv story is below. @GaSecofState launches investigation into whether Lin Wood voted illegally. Sources say that email Wood sent me & I reported caught eye of investigators. Wood said he’d “been domiciled in South Carolina for several months” https://t.co/s4J1WXMoPN
